Poynting’s “Rhyno” antenna range got its name due to the rugged build and the shape of the antenna that reminds of a rhino horn.
The Rhyno antenna series is designed for M2M Infrastructure and Industrial IoT. Industrial M2M networks require dependable data transfer, which requires an antenna that performs consistently over the band of operation. The series features an IP69K protection rating, which indicates that the antennas are dust-proof and protected against high pressure, high-temperature spray downs at close range. It also features an IK10 impact rating, making the antennas ideal for industrial IoT/M2M and mining applications.
They comply with CE, EN, CSA, RoHS and IEC Standards and are rated for temperatures of -40°C to +80°C and will survive winds of up to 190 km/h. The antennas can be mounted on a wall, pole or side of a cabinet using the included 304 Stainless steel mounting bracket. They can also be surface mounted using the supplied adhesive disk. This makes the antenna ideal to use in the following applications:
